Vintage Va Va Voom

You may have realised by now that I am a huge fan of wearing black, I just can't seem to keep away from it.  In particular little black dresses, of which I have a BUNCH. Despite this, I've managed to acquire three more black dresses in the past couple of weeks, which I admit is excessive even for me, but hey, you can never have enough of a good thing, right? Right!

With this in mind, imagine my delight when I was sent a fantabulous black dress from Red Label, an online boutique that does some great affordable clothing (especially dresses) - you should definitely check it out! What a dress: the long sleeves and ultra flattering tulip / wrap shape immediately screamed 40's film siren to me, so I thought a great way of styling it would be to add my trusty fake fur coat and cloche hat to add to the overall vintage vibe.

Getting ready for my close up:

This week I'm taking my boyfriend out to a fancy shmancy restaurant for his birthday and, truth be told, I had been wondering what on earth to wear, as I tend to dress down more often than dress up. However, this LBD arrived in the nick of time and has solved that sartorial dilemma. Little Black Dress: you and me are going to paint the town red!

My Outfit:
Dress*: Red Label (here)
Coat, Socks & 'Vintage' Rings: Topshop (old)
Boots: Missguided (similar here)
Necklace: Claire's Accessories (not on website)
Spiky Rings: Primark
Hat: H&M (old, similar here)

  1. Love the outfit, gonna check out that red label thing. I wouldn't mind some cheap dresses, you know it being recession and all.
