Make Up Monday: Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Quad

Now, I'm pretty unadventurous when it comes to eye shadow. I usually prefer to make a statement with my eyeliner more so than the eye shadow itself, so I lean more towards neutral colours for such matters. I've long been a fan of Revlon's Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadows so when I spotted the 16 Hour Eye Shadows (a whole four hours more staying power!) I knew I just had to try it.

I picked up the neutral browns palette Addictive, as this was closest to my previous '12 Hour' favourite Coffee Bean. It consists of four velvety powder eye shadows in various shades of matte brown, ranging from lightest beige to a dark brown. There's a guide on the back of the palette suggesting which shade to use where, so for the purposes of this review I decided to go with that.

Yes all four are swatched here left to right... the lightest shade is indeed very light!

This palette lived up to my expectations in that the eye shadows blend well, do not crease and really do stay in place all day. The sturdy square-shaped palette is a little bulky and uninspiring but the colours are just right for me. I would normally only use the two darker shades for an evening look, favouring the two lighter ones for daytime. At £7.99 the price is great for the quality of the product. I recommend!
