Hard Rock Calling

So this past weekend I was lucky enough to come by some free tickets to see Bruce Springsteen play at Hard Rock Calling in the Olympic Park! (OK, OK, my boyfriend actually won the tickets, but whatever). Now, whilst I'm a huge rock/indie music fan (cough music snob cough) I can't say I've ever been that into 'the Boss', but I certainly wasn't turning my nose up to a free gig and the only festival-lite experience that I'm likely to have this year. We joined the predominantly middle aged crowd (and some youngsters) amongst the tower blocks of East London and partied in the park to Alabama Shakes, Black Crowes and, ultimately, Bruce himself. It totally rocked! The cider and sunshine were an added bonus too.

As it was a gloriously sunny day, I dressed accordingly in a summer dress and obligatory festival-wear floral headpiece. Here's the ensemble:

We found our spot near the stage early on, so whilst Matt went off on the quest for more cider, I guarded our place and occupied myself the only way any self-respecting blogger knows how: I took photos...

Here's the stage... boots... hand...
...selfie... other hand...etc etc.
"Where the feck did he go??!"
Aah, cider

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you may also have noticed that I've started adding live action snippets of my outfits - this very one is right here, watch me get heckled by the crowd! Now if only I could figure out a way to embed these Instagram videos (Instavids??) into my blog, that would make me deliriously happy. Anyone know how?

EDIT: It's now possible to embed video!!  So here we go *drum roll*

My Outfit:
Dress: H&M (old, similar here)
Floral Headband & Rings: Primark
Boots & Socks: Topshop (old, similar here)
Bracelets: Claire's

P.S. Before I went to the gig I could confidently name only two of Springsteen's songs off the top of my head: 'Dancing in the Dark' (hi, Courteney Cox!) and 'Born in the USA'. I was warned that he never ever ever performs the latter in concert, but guess what... this time he did! I'd like to think it was because I was there. Here's the proof!
