I loved this quirky variation on the classic Breton top
This beaded top matched my nails! It's all in the details..
OK, I need some summery weather immediately!
One thing I love about blogging is that it can lead to invitations dropping into my inbox to 'collection preview events' - something which I'd never heard of before I started Woo Be Red. It's an opportunity for brands to showcase their upcoming season's collections and for invited bloggers and journalists to view the pieces and learn about the inspiration for the collection. I've now been to a few such events and was delighted to get the opportunity to attend another last week. This soirée was held by La Redoute, a French brand that I wasn't previously familiar with.. However, as I like clothes AND I like France it was a no brainer to stop by and see what was shaking!

The overall Brazil / tropical theme for the Spring Summer 2014 collection was evident in the array of bright colours and bold prints on display. As well as La Redoute's own line, they have collaborated with four other French designers: Cédric Charlier, Delphine Manivet, Gat Rimon and Paul & Joe Sister all of which were available to view. My personal favourites were in the Paul & Joe Sister rack - so many pieces in ubercute cat prints, they had me at bonjour! I was equally bowled over by Delphine Manivet's stunning dresses which would be perfect for summer weddings: très très belle.

The tropical theme will be carried into the new lines added to the La Redoute website over the coming weeks, as well as featuring in regular blog posts offering style advice, recommended must-have products and how-to videos. Definitely worth a look for anyone who wants something a little different to the usual UK high street offerings. Et voilà - fashion with a French flavour!
