Les Vacances en France: Carcassonne

Well I suppose it's about time I posted an outfit on here as I've been severely slacking on the blog front recently.  I have a good excuse I promise you and all will be revealed very soon (cryptic much?).

So, anyway, clothes. Here I am on the first day of my recent South of France holiday where we went to Carcassonne, a jaw droppingly huge castle / medieval-type citadel deep in the Languedoc-Roussillon countryside. I'm a big fan of comfort over style when going sightseeing, which is how I ended up in this admittedly uninspiring and borderline ugly get up. Let's just call it Farmer Jo 'chic' and move on.

Carcassonne, on the other hand, is most definitely inspiring. It's like somewhere straight out of Game of Thrones, I thought maybe Riverrun... yes, I'm one of those geeks... and I found out later that it was used as a filming location for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Let's not hold that against the place as it is most definitely worth a visit if you're ever in that neck of the French woods. I loved it!

My Outfit (click for links):
Dungarees: Primark, last summer | Top: New Look, last summer, sorry
Shoes: H&M, this summer, possibly still in stores | Sunglasses: Topshop
